Street art movement in Madrid is not concentrated only in Malasaña, if you are a street art hunter and you feel you have a gut for finding out cool art around the city-you can check out Tetuán(take the blue metro line that goes north in Pinar de Chamartin direction)
Unlike Malasaña, this is a more quiet neighbourhood where you can see authentic, real locals doing grocery shopping or chilling in a taberna.
I was lucky enough to have a couple of madrileños who appreciate the streets and the art brought by them-we were on our way to Tetuán-Valdeacederas on a Saturday morning. After strolling around half an hour and no sight of street art..there it was with all its glory.
As we walked along the Main Street- that is Calle Marques de Viana- amazing work by Borondo.
Another one by E1000
That is as far as we could go before we were thirsty for a vermouth al grifo :)
